U4all solidarity concert at Sala Taboo, March 30th, 2012

Hermanos Almax, Ivi Sween, Lady Grape and The Rebels, for only 8€ (9pm)University For All (U4all) has organized for Friday 30 March, a charity concert to benefit the current scholarship students in Nicaragua, of which in a few months will be added to a new program in Honduras and to those who we evaluate for future projects.

 

The concert, to be held in Madrid, in Sala Taboo (C / San Vicente Ferrer 23, metro Tribunal) , will start at 9pm (till 1am) and the price of admission, 8 euros, will allow to attend the following performances: Hermanos Almax Brothers, Ivi Sween, Lady Grape and The Rebels, four prominent Spanish musical groups.

 

THE REBELS (9,30pm to 10,15pm)

The rock band The Rebels is formed by Alex Gallardo, guitar and vocals, Jose Mora, bass, and Juan Sebastian, battery. Influenced by any musical style, their choice is a primitive sound and frantic, with catchy melodies and choruses easy to remember, and has a very compact and fun live. Their works so far are Out of Control and Worldmakers.

IVI SWEEN (10,25pm to 11,10pm)

Ivi is the pseudonym of a Madrid songwriter looking at the origins of the essence of seventies rock melodies. He debuted in 2002 with When the Sun Goes Down and the latter is Sween, who plays while preparing Blue. Along with Ivi, who provides the voice and acoustic and electric guitars, are Guille Carretero, on drums, Barry Horne, on bass, and María Villar, with her so peculiar voice. LADY GRAPE / SEÑORITA UVA (11,10pm to 0,05am)

Lady Grape is a group of four girls from Madrid – Sara V. (guitar and vocals), Sandra B. (drums), Ana S. (bass) and Agatha A. (vocals) – who plays Anglo-Saxon punk-rock. HERMANOS ALMAX (0,15am to 1am)

Hermanos Almax is a classically band of two guitars (Rubén and Carlos), drums (Amador) and bass (Antonio), which retrieves sounds from the 70’s and 80 ‘s of rock and R&B. In their repertoire, music of Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Whitesnake, AC/DC, Glenn Hughes and Thunder. His discography is composed by Rockanrolato (2003), Sin desmayo (2005) and Carne de perro (2010).
