Jose Manuel Gago Onecha

President (Founding Member)

Onecha is responsible for making U4all a reality. It was he who had the idea that later became what U4all is today. He wants to dedicate this dream come true to his wonderful students from Chile, who were the ones who inspired him, as you can read in the “How the idea was born” section.

Onecha as president coordinates all departments and is always there to guide all teams towards the mission and vision of U4all.

Bachelor of Chemistry from the University of Valladolid in 2000, he worked at the same University from 2000 to 2001. He later conducted a research in Biotechnology in Germany in 2001, in England in 2002, and what changed his life was to be a professor Cooperating in Chile from 2003 to 2005. Since 2005 he is a high school teacher in Spain, as well as U4all president, which for him, as for many of us, is a real job, although not paid.

Onecha plays the guitar and loves to dance (he is learning to salsa). He is also interested in educational and scientific topics, cultural exchanges, information technology … and of course development cooperation.

His phrase: “Many small people doing many small things in many small places can change the world.”
